The Chair's research activities will have an expressly close connection to medicine, as demonstrated by relevant scientific publications, including in medical or health-science contexts. Moreover, the Chair will actively contribute to the Institute of Health Sciences (IGW) and play a pivotal role in its development, ensuring its successful launch, academic growth and external recognition. In this capacity, the Chair will contribute significantly to the integration of medical, health-science and data-science perspectives and will strengthen the University's interdisciplinary profile in health and medicine. The Chair will offer statistical consultancy to all IGW partners, external collaborators and medical doctoral candidates. This includes the development and application of suitable statistical models, the analysis of complex datasets and advice on study designs and empirical analyses. The postholder will represent the subject in research and teaching.
