Global Commodity Engineer - Interconnection Technologies (m/f/d)

Is a key technical contributor within the Global Interconnect Commodity Team . The role works in close collaboration with local and global R&D organizations, Global Procurement, and strategic suppliers to jointly develop and execute interconnection technology and sourcing strategies for a highly complex product The position is accountable for enabling and driving robust solutions across interconnection technologies (e.g., connectors, cable assemblies, harnesses, PCB interconnects) by aligning business requirements, technical roadmaps, and supply market capabilities . Rather than acting as a standalone expert, the Global Interconnection Technology Engineer orchestrates and supports cross-functional teams , ensuring that technology choices, supplier capabilities, and cost optimization initiatives are consistently assessed, aligned, Drive the creation maintenance, and evolution of the global requirements matrix. Support technical evaluation of supplier capabilities Conduct technical deep dives on failure modes, reliability concerns and manufacturability issues. Commodity & Supplier Strategy Partner with Global Procurement to develop & support commodity strategies and initiatives
