Precision Mechanic

We are Europe's research laboratory for the life sciences – an intergovernmental organisation performing scientific research in disciplines including molecular biology, physics, chemistry and computer science. We are an international, innovative and interdisciplinary laboratory with more than 1800 employees from many nations, operating across six sites, in Heidelberg (HQ), Barcelona, Hinxton near Cambridge, Hamburg, Grenoble and Rome. As our Precision Mechanic, you contribute to the development and maintenance of scientific instrumentation by providing specialist precision manufacturing expertise within the mechanical workshop. Working closely with engineers and researchers, you advise on production designs, manufacture precision mechanical components, and support the assembly, repair and functional improvement of mechanical instruments. You will contribute to effective operation and organisation of the workshop and timely delivery of highquality manufactured components.
