Medicinal Chemist (m/f/div) - Drug Discovery Antiinfectives

You will play a key role in the further development of our antiinfectives pipeline and contribute to the discovery and development of new small molecule therapeutics and biologics. In a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment, you will have the opportunity to actively advance medicinal chemistry strategies from hit identification to clinical candidate selection. What you can expect: Your work will focus on target-based research into new antiinfective agents (antibiotics, antifungals, and antiviral substances). This includes the development, synthesis and optimization of biologically active small molecules with an antimicrobial spectrum of activity. Experience in the development of biologics is also welcome. You will play a key role in a cross-functional project team that ensures the successful delivery of hits and lead compounds for preclinical and clinical studies. In constant communication with medicinal chemists, you will analyse complex data sets to establish structure-activity relationships (SAR) and structure-property relationships (SPR) for small molecules and apply data-driven insights to improve molecular properties.
